Comment: I have recently got an ADSL2+ router(Linksys WAG54GS) 125 Mbps....it has some speed booster thingy....my USB wireless card also has a High Speed Mode (Belkin). But it only connects at 54 Mbps, do i have to enable some option or somthin?...or is it supposed to be 54 Mbps?

Reply: (edit)Generally speaking, speeds above the 54Mbps for 802.11G and 11Mbps for 802.11b are vendor specific. Because a standards body hasn't released a standard for everybody to follow different companies get the higher rates in different ways. The short answer is you should be able to get the 125Mbps if you go get a Linksys Wireless NIC that supports the SpeedBooster tech. Otherwise you'll only get 54Mbps with someone else's stuff.
