Linksys Wrt150n wireless router

Specs: Macintosh
I am unable to set up my Linksys WRT150N router
security. I am using a Mac Computer OS X v10.5.8. I
can access the internet using the router but only
through an unsecure connection. When I go to change
the router settings through its setup page I am unable
to save the changes I made. It keeps showing up a
page saying: "Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page
“” because the server
unexpectedly dropped the connection. This
sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a
few minutes, and then try again."

I have my internet cable connected to the modem,
then the linksys router connected to the modem. I
also have a ethernet cable connecting my computer to
the linksys router, and my computer is picking up the
linksys router signal. Is this connected up correctly?

I'm hoping theres not something wrong with the router
internally but I'd rather be sure before I buy a new one.

1. you should connect only one network card at a time (wired or wireless, but not both)
2. router configuration should be done from a wired computer
3. make sure, that you have configured the correct encryption key also at the wireless network card
4. If you're using MAC address filtering, make sure, that there is also an entry for your wireless network card.

When all these things are configured correctly, disconnect the cable from the wired netwok card and connect via wireless card.
