Ok. So it's like this.

I have Verizon DSL and I have a linksys wireless router. I have the router and dsl modem (westell) hooked up correctly. I have a singnal which I am able to pick up through an Intel Centrino enabled Laptop.
The problem?

The connection is continuously, and annoyingly, dropped and picked right back up. I don't understand it to tell you the truth. The connection will stay steady for several minutes before conking out (most visably on AIM or MSN) and reconnecting almost immediately. This doesn't happen only with the computers using the wireless connectivity to connect. It's also occuring with the main computer the router is actually connected to. I have noooo idea as to why this is occuring is it's incredibly annoying.

The specific wireless router I have is a 2.4ghz Linksys wireless access point router.
befw11s4 ver2. I updated the firmware. I made sure PPPoE connection was set the correct PW for Verizon is in. I'm stumped. It's at Keep Alive. everything seems to be fine. Any suggestions? :(

What's the redial period (in seconds) for Keep Alive?

It's at 20 seconds right now. Linksys suggested taking it down from 30 to 20.

Mine's also 20 seconds. Have you power-cycled the modem and router?

Power Cycling router and modem:

1. Shut down your computer.
2. Unplug the power from the router and modem.
3. Unplug the power from the DSL modem.
4. Wait for 30 seconds, and re-apply power to the DSL modem.
5. Wait for 1 minute, then plug power into the router and modem.
6. Start up your computer.

You won't know until you try it. The procedures I outlined for you is the first thing that Linksys and Verizon will advise you to do. It's your call.

No no don't get me wrong I took the advice and did it -again- lol. I only said what if it doesnt work because I tried to before. but I realize something now. I disconnected the main computer from the router and guess what? No more drops for other computers connecting through the wireless network. Any ideas as to what settings might make the computer knock people off the network repeatedly?

wireless networks are subject to interference from various devices, such as microwave ovens, bluetooth devices, and cordless telephones.
A cordless telephone I think is the worst offender b/c the signal can travel quite far, and your neighbor can be hosing you with their cordless telephone
