I have a Linksys Etherfast Wireless Access Point + 4 port switch (BEFW11S4). I can’t seem to get many FTP sites to work correctly. I can login with my username and password fine, however if I try to issue a dir command, the connection to the ftp server drops. I have tried toggling passive mode in my ftp client, but that causes a timeout as well. If I unplug the Linksys router and plug in my laptop, I can ftp to the sites fine (both passive on and off). Has anyone experienced similar problems with this router? Can anyone offer any advice on solving this issue?

i have a the regular 4 port linksys; just log into the router and configure port forwarding for port 21 (i believe thats the ftp port) for your network

I have the same problem FTP from Win2K client to Win2K server through BEFW11S4 version 1, firmware 1.42.7. Enabling FTP in UPnP does not help.
