Linksys network card not connecting

I just attempted to set up a wireless network in my house using a Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router with a built in access point and WMP54G wireless network cards. The router connects to the internet and is working fine through the computer, but I cannot get a 2nd PC running XP to connect. The network shows up under preferred networks after being added and will not show a connection until it is refreshed. It will not connect to it the router and it will not become an available network.
