Can someone tell me if a Broadband Router like Linksys will it also replaces the conventional network HUB, which it allows the LAN to share files, printer etc., besides internet sharing?

Hey, I have Cable Internet and I am sharing it on two computers. I have a LINsys Cable/DSL router. I am able to share printers, files and all the normal things as a LAN would. I am also able to share the Internet.
