Linknsys WRT54G keeps resetting

Well, I have a slight problem. I recently replaced a dead Linksys WRT54G card in my computer, and it works great. The only problem I have is the fact that the connection now seems to just keep resetting.
IT is random, but it happens where either every 20-30 minutes my connections seems to drop and reconnect, having the acquire the network address and reconnect. it does it automatically, but it is just annoying when I am in the middle of something and it does this ..
any solutions? I am only about 10 feet away from the actual router

anyone, can you help? please this is just annoying. Now it resets and sometimes doesnt even come back on, it says it has 'limited or no connectivity' ... usually I can solve this myself as I am very computer savy, but I am just stumped with this one
