I have a wireless network. My desktop computer upstairs is using the Linksys wireless PCI adapter to connect to the Linksys wireless router downstairs. An ethernet card also came with my computer. I was wondering if I could somehow hook my XBox up to the ethernet card with a crossover cable, then have it somehow "talk" to my wireless card to be able to access the internet for things such as XBox Live and GameSpy Tunnel. Is this just plain farfetched, or can it be done?

I just thought I might also add the trail that the XBox would follow to the internet. XBox ---- network card (wired) on Computer upstairs ------ wireless card on computer upstairs ----- Linksys wireless router downstairs ----- DSL modem. Is this too complicated to work or not? I was thinking about bridging the wireless card and the network card together (which are on the same computer), so that they might be able to "talk" to each other. I tried this, but the internet would not work and the network card kept saying that a network cable is unplugged. Please help me!

The university has a wireless network and i have a laptop with both a wireless card and a ethernet card. I have been able to hook the xbox up to the computer using a crossover cable and i could play games over gamespy. I didn't bridge the connections. All I did was share the wireless internet connection. You might also want to try xbconnect instead of gamespy I have had much better results.

I have tried to share the wireless connection, but I can't figure out how to do it. Are you using Windows XP? If so, are you using Windows XP Home or Pro? I have found a site that talked about it, but I did what it said to do, and I couldn't find it. It could be because I have Windows XP Home and not Pro. Thanks.

Hey I think I figured out why the ICS isn't showing up. I think it is because my network card that I plug my network card says "Network Cable Unplugged". I found a site that said something about how ICS would not show up unless it was enabled and plugged in. However, my XBox is plugged in, and I enabled it, and I still can't find the ICS. If I could get it to say that it is plugged in, then I think i would be able to do it. Could you help me?
