hello. i have 2 computers, i have a question, is it anyway that i can link 2 computers without using the router? or i have to use it. i just wanna transfer stuffs, not hard drive to hard drive. i just wanna transfer some stuffs/items from 1 account to another account. it has to have 2 computers online, so in order to link 2 computers online, i have use the router or is there any way to do it? thank you!

Buy two ethernet Nic's, unless you already have them installed and buy a ethernet cross-over cable and now your in business.

Before you do this look up "Direct Cable Connection overview" in Windows Help and read along. There are many ways to directly connect 2 PCs; only one of them requires you install NICs to them.
