Hello, I have a small network with a few computers on it and I need to find a way to limit the bandwidth that users are allowed to use, People just love to abuse P2P programs. The internet connection goes into my win2k machine and then out to a hub. From doing some research on the internet I found out you can use the Qos packet scheduler to accomplish this, but nowhere can I find out exactly how. If anyone can tell me how to use Qos or tell me another way to do this I will be very greatful. Jeremy

You need an enterprise switch to configure QoS for users. Probably not worth 3-4 thousand on such a small network. Try firing someone to get the message across.

first thing to do is to block all outgoing connection execpt: tcp/80&443, tcp/25,110 (through your isp only) and Upd/53
If not enough, most corporate routers have built-in QOS. Netscreen and Sonicwall are one of them.
