how to limit bandwidth only for user account in window 7...My PC has 2 account ..one is admin and other is user ..i need to limit the bandwidth only for user account ,do I need a software for this..pliz help

As I understand it, bandwidth limiting is done in the router ( 0r the server if there is one in the loop ) not in the client machine. You will need to give us more details of how you currently connect to internet in order for more detailed answer. I doubt it can be achieved without a server since the router will only recognize the PC hardware and not the user account in operation at the time.

thanks for ur reply....actually I connect the pc from a switch(manageable) from office.to my home via LAN cable.Is there any software so dat I instal as Admin on my PC.and manage the bandwidth of user account.

You're going to have to do some google searches to see if you can find software that can be installed locally to do this. I haven't heard of any myself.....mostly because like Richard59 I would use a device to limit bandwidth.
