This problem started a few days ago, first downloads started to get slower, and then the next day my internet would stop working ~5 minutes after my laptop would be turned on. Now i can still use Msn Messanger, Play some games online, but Mozilla IE, Avg updates itunes etc will not load or update etc. At home i have a wireless router, and it happens when i connect either wired or wireless and i just tried wired at my work, on a whole different router and it still happens. I have tried pinging a site(google) in cmd and i am not losing any packets, i have also tried WinsockXP Fix which also did not work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

When was the last time you emptied out your temporary internet files, ran disk cleanup, checked for virus/adware/spyware? Any of the above could affect your internet access and you seem to have eliminated the connection as the source of the problem by connecting from different locations yet still experiencing the same problem. I clear internet files once a week and run daily adaware/virus/spyware scans. Disk cleanup i did the other day and do it once every few weeks.
