I'm having difficulty setting up a 4 computer network and any help would be much appreciated!
The router (Netgear FVS318) has the address 192.168.0.1 and connected to it are 4 computers with static IPs: 192.168.0.100, 192.168.0.101, 192.168.0.102, 192.168.0.103.
Each computer will say that they are "connected" to the router with the appropriate settings (They are all manually configured for the appropriate IP as above; subnet = 255.255.255.0; default gateway and preferred dns = 192.168.0.1).
From each computer I am able to ping the router (192.168.0.1). From IPs 100 & 101 I have been able to ping both the router and the other computer (i.e., 192.168.0.100 will ping 192.168.0.101 and vice-versa). 102 and 103 will not ping anything else (besides the router) and nothing can ping them.
The router diagnostics page shows all 4 IP addresses listed as connected devices.
From the router I am not able to ping 102 or 103, despite it showing them as being connected.
The more I write this out, it seems like a firewall issue. I just can't figure out where?
Thanks for your help!
