hi all ,
using a belkin wireless modem/router , decided to put 64bit wep security on , now my laptop says connected with limited access , checked passwork , repaired connections on both pc and laptop , yet without security connection works fine , any ideas as to what i need to do is much appreciated.

What router are you using? You may need to change the channel setting.

Also, there is a great program called TCPOtimizer for free at speedguide.net under broadband tools. Download it and run it.

Most likely the WEP key you provide on the wireless adapter did not match the one on router. Also it's better you use WPA2 if possible as WEP is so vulnerable..

Here is how I configured wireless router and wireless adapter..Take a look and see whether it helps..
