Alright, What im trying to do is to get limewire or any other filesharing program to work on my colleges network. I am of course behind a firewall with what i belive all the filesharing ports blocked. I want to know how to get around these blocked ports. Is there a way to do a proxy sever of some sort. Im on xp. If there is any more info that you need just ask. Thanks

You're barking up the wrong tree asking that in here. This is a "tech help forum" not a hacker forum. Chances are, your college, like so many others, have a policy against what you want to do and that's why you can't do it.

Several things to keep in mind. Sharing illegal music/movies is illegal. Hacking your college network in order to share illegal files is also.....you guessed it.....illegal.

Attemping to bypass their security (and you better believe, if they've spent the time implementing it, they'll be monitoring for people like you trying to bypass it) is highly illegal in this post 9/11 world and doing so will likely get you expelled and charged criminally.

Here's a great suggestion. Call the college administrator(s) and tell them what you want to do and ask them how to go about doing it....
