Hi Surya,

A leased line is a dedicated, "nailed up" circuit connection. You would have a phone number for a dial-up connection. When configuring ISDN as a backup as in DDR (dial on demand routing) the service provider issues you two spid numbers (ending with 0101 or something to that effect) that are entered when you configure your bri (basic rate) interface.

If I might ask, are you the same person who asked about using RIP yesterday?

The only number that will be asociated with the leased line will be a billing number because it is basically a pipe between point A and point B with no routing in between. As far as ISDN it depends on the area you live in as far as your SPIDs go. My company uses the ten digit number with 00 attached on the end for you SPID but it could vary depending on your need or configuration. I work for a Telco so if you need any ISDN info let me know.

Have you made a decision about which routing protocol to use? You might want to consider IGRP. I'd also look into Frame Relay for your site connections unless your sites are already connected in some fashion. Also, DDR makes for a good back up system. What type of Cisco devices are being utilized?
