Im on a college campus and i would like to take advantage of its high speed upload/download capabilities. I have a large amount of files that are very large. I am wondering if there is any way in which i can easily(<--keyword) make a folder on my computer accessable to anyone on campus, or even to the outside world.
I tried to dabble with bittorent but it seems the campus blocks the ports.

yeah you can setup shares but, man, that is a very bad idea from a security stand point...You sure you want to do it?

Reread the school computing policy. Since they block bittorrent I'd wager they don't want any file sharing programs like Kazaa running on students PC's either.
If it is against policy, don't try it. You could get expelled or even charged criminally. If it is against school policy, they'll be watching for people trying to do it even though it's disallowed so you will get caught.

If you are violating any laws, the college can have you prosecuted by the civil courts.
Oh - by the way, they can monitor their network and see bandwith usage.
