I have two computers (IBM t42 & Compaq v3000) connected wirelessly to a Dlink DI-624S router. For some reason when the V3000 laptop is close to the IBM T42, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. The IBM T42 does not disconnect at all, only the Compaq V3000 does. I will be needing to use both laptops close to each other. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Does it happen both when the Compaq is working on battery & when it's connected to the wall outlet? How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

Advice you to download latest wireless adapter driver from Compaq website, uninstall old driver and install new driver, after that test again. If not, you can have wired connection from this laptop to wireless router too.. Just my 2 cents.. picoHat Home Network and Wireless Network Help

Sounds like one of the laptops is jamming the others signal. This is a tough one to fix because the problem is do to a poorly designed WiFi adapter in the laptop. You could try switching Channels on your D-Link to a non-common channel like 9. The adapter may have less leakage on that channel.
