|Have you checked that the router is connected to the internet. Even if the laptop can connect to the router, if the router cannot connect to the internet then it will not be able to browse the web.|
Most routers have status lights, I dont know what model of router you have so I cant provide any specific instructions, however the instruction manual of the router should have steps to diagnose the issue.
If you are SURE that the router is connected to the internet, try connecting the laptop to the router via a LAN cable. If this works then there is someting wrong with your wireless configuration.
If this does not work then there is either a problem with your internet service, router or laptop.
