LAN status--Packets Received = 0

CPU/Ram: P3- 256 MBRAM

My HP Vectra VE with 3COM NIC was working well. Suddenly it stopped communicating with other PC in network and i found in LAN status recieved packets = 0, and sending packets =62...I changed the NIC card and tested but it was the same result. I tried uninstalling TCP/IP but nothing happened.Kindly guide me to trouble shoot the problem...thanks
