I have network of 50 PCs. I had win 2003 server on my PC and win 200 professional on clients. I have a problem with my network. Some of the users disconncet the LAN wire from their PCs and starts playing games and do their personal work. Is their any utility or any services with which users unable to do anything with connecting LAN wire. Like users not able to logon without connceting LAN wire on their local PC. Please help its a big issue for me. Thanks in advance. Bunty Sharma

Reply: (edit)from ur point it is showing that ur 50 pc are all open, u need a software to block the client pcs so that no one can have access to is without locking in with a usernamer or code. that will help if the LAN wire is disconnected, there can not be able to login.

Reply: (edit)Periodically ping the clients and if any are disconnected they'll show up immediately. Beyond that, does your company have an IT policy on using PCs for personal business? As harsh as it sounds, frogmarching one (ex-)employee down the hall with his belongings in a cardboard box and flanked by a couple of security guards has a saluatory effect on the others.
