On a LAN network at my school all of the ethernet cables come into the room where the hubs are. All the cable wires are attached to the back of a black switchboard. The hubs are attached to the front of this switchboard via short ethernet cables (RJ 45's). The board is made by Interlink. Does this board have a particular name? Thanks,

Or it's called a "patch panel"

Either works but I tend to refer to them as patch panels.
