I have been handed orders to find out if keyloggers are running on any of our school computers. We have an existing problem with a student loading keyloggers and getting student and teacher logins/passwords.
And I am told that the seriousness of this can't "be devulged" to me as of yet.
I am currently scouring for keylogger detection programs, Freeware or Purchased. At this point it doesn't matter.
Please give me any suggestions. I have been told to look for a file name of "sc-keylog2.exe" on the local workstations also.
Would greatly appreciate method suggestions, detection programs I can use, or any other information that would be helpful.Cheers.

Search google. This program looks okay for Windows.
Also,
1) Students should not be able to install software on the computers! Look for locking down the computers.2) Scan for other stuff (spyware, comet cursor, Gator....) while you are at it. Spybot Search & Destroy is good.
3) You might also want to check for hardware keyloggers; look at the back of each computer to make sure the keyboard is directly plugged in (and not plugged into an adapter-looking device).
4) Check the licensing agreements for any software you decide to use; some freeware is not for commercial use (which may or may not include academic institutions).5) Update passwords regularly! Additionally, make sure your school has a computer-use policy (including but not limited to prohibited activity, good password management, etc).
