I'm studying in a unversity. i got internet connection and i want to use kazaa to download mp3. The problem is i cannot use kazaa bcoz the internet connection is behind a firewall. Can anyone tell me how to use kazaa behind a firewall..... Thanksss
In the kazaa option menu (Tools > Options) Click on the firewall tab, you will need you the firewall ip address and the port, the port will be 1080 and the IP should be 10.0.0.1, but may be different, you will have to find it out. Good Luck

This will work in some instances. If it is a hardware firewall (and I don't see how it would be anything else) and the router has been set up correctly, then the router may have to be programmed (with CBOS or something similar) to permit the IP access for Kazaa. This would require the routers password which you can only get from those who setup the network (and possibly those in power at the university).
If you have HTTP access, i.e. when you can open Webpages, then you can use HTTP Port for Kazaa. I use Kazaa Lite (that's Kazaa without Spyware). Under Tools -> Options / Firewall you can set up the port for incoming connections. Set the checkbox "Use Port 80 as alternative" and write 80 in the textfield above. When you run Kazaa the first time you should have to be patient, cause it takes a lot of time to connect the first time.
