Well it’s me again. I almost have everything in place. That ADSL router is great, and boy life is much sweeter with it I think. Beside I can’t get into Hotmail and MNS, that is another story and I will post it next. :-p This message is dealing with the HP JetDirect 300x.
I bought these second hand, but both were working when I got them. I did not however get the software or books with them. So I have downloaded both. They do not have the Jet Admin anymore, they use and printer setup software. I cannot seem to find either one of them on the network. I printed the test sheets, and I have searched for both IP address and Mac address. Both turn up no devices found with the setup software. I have also tried to ping and arp them in DOS, still nothing. When I ping, arp, or even run the detection software I get a flickering activity light on the JetDirect. So I know something has to be happening, but I am getting no response from it on my computer.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I use this board so much, I think they are about to start charging me, LOL.

Have you tried re-setting them- I think you hold the test button down while powering up, it should say in the manual.
