don't you mean OSI? Order of those letters makes a difference.
Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

I don't know why you guys would think it's a homework question. There's no reason to believe that...
I mean...
Besides the theoretical nature of the question...
And the person not knowing it's called the OSI model...
And it's close to a traditional end of a semester on the calendar...
"How many squirrels had to die to make you look fly?!"

When we say homework question, it means we're not gonna answer it. This site isn't www.techcliffnotes.com...
"How many squirrels had to die to make you look fly?!"

LOL - Or www.techhelplazykidswhodontwannadotheirownhomework.com
As XpUser said Google is your friend.......try using it.

Fine, Jennifer, show me and my joke no love... :-)
"How many squirrels had to die to make you look fly?!"

At least I actually know it's called the OSI model... ROFL...
Have fun with your CD images... :-)
"How many squirrels had to die to make you look fly?!"

Sheeze, you guy's got nothing better to do than insult and pick on this guy?
How do you know he isn't 9 years old anyway?
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

I just got certified in ISA 2004. I multitask effectively.
Do you have anything better to do than chastise people who encouraged someone to actually do their own homework and were subsequently insulted for it?
"Enough, enough bowing down to disillusion!
Hats off & applause to rogues & evolution!
The ripple effect is too good not to mention.
If you’re not affected, you’re not paying attention!"

I can't see how insulting the person is of any benefit to anyone.
Can you see across the planet and KNOW that this poster was in-fact an adult.
Would you talk to your own children this way? I make an assumption that the person is not an adult but that may be wrong. I assume you are an adult that acts like a child. I am saying to you in no uncertain terms to grow up and treat strangers better. How does that grab you?

"I can't see how insulting the person is of any benefit to anyone."
A. Telling him to look it up himself isn't insulting him. And yes, I'd talk to my kid that way. And yes, it benefits people by encouraging independent learning and trying to get other people to do their work for them. *GASP!* OH THE HUMANITY!
B. The worst thing I said was that I at least knew what the OSI model is. That was in response to people who responded in this thread being called "fat dirty yank(s)". If that's psychologically damaging to him, he would need serious psychological counseling irrelevant to what I wrote. In that case, someone could give him a funny look, and that would set him off."Can you see across the planet and KNOW that this poster was in-fact an adult."
Does it matter? I don't care how old you are, but calling someone a fat dirty yank is wrong, and you don't need to be an adult to know that. Neither does it take an adult to know that cheating on a homework assignment is wrong, too.
"Would you talk to your own children this way?"
If my kid called me fat and dirty, you better believe talking would be the least of what would happen. Not saying I'd beat the crap out of my kid, but a stern talking would be signaling to your kid you're a pushover when shown that amount of disrespect.
He's not my kid, and he may not even be a kid. So I have no regrets saying what I did, which wasn't nearly as insulting as what he said after attempting to cheat on a homework assignment. Heck, what I said was actually true!
"I assume you are an adult that acts like a child."
You assume whatever you want. I really couldn't care less. I'm assuming right now you must have been abused or bullied as a kid to superimpose the unlikely scenario he is a kid and blowing out of proportion the magnitude of my supposed insult, which was merely pointing out the truth about him after he insulted an indiscernible number of people who posted in this thread.
"I am saying to you in no uncertain terms to grow up and treat strangers better. How does that grab you?"
I'm saying in no uncertain terms to you to get off your high horse, and stop being overly sensitive. You might also think about how ridiculous you are standing up for someone so lazy and unethical, not to mention ignorant enough to insult someone with a stereotype based on their nationality.
P.S. HELLO KETTLE!

Seriously heropsycho2177 if you have a spare half hour or so to bother typing all that out why didn't you just answer the guys query in the first place or provide him with a link, thats the purpose of this forum.

"it benefits people by encouraging independent learning..."
If you had a spare minute to post that, how about actually reading since I told you why?
And don't address just me. Address XPUser, Curt_R, Jennifer SUMN, jefro, tonysathre...P.S. That took five minutes...

I think this thread needs to be closed before everyone here at CN gets mad at each other.
Here
is your answer Andrew, if you haven't already found out for yourself."Computer security." — Oxymoron

Gee tonysathre I guess you just don't get the point.
Most of us here have agreed to not answer homework questions for exactly the reasons stated by hero.
Get on board bud! Good IT people do their HOMEWORK. I have been out of school for more years than I want to count but I STILL do homework daily. Whether it is researching new technologies or refining what I know about existing ones, its something we all have to do if we expect to stay up in this field.
I know you think you helped Andrew but in reality you hurt him. He missed out on the learning the web search skills and thinking logic that you used to provide the answer. Shame on you.
No need for me to comment on jefro's posts. Look at his signature.
PS Good job hero!
Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

I always do/did my own homework too. I see what your all saying, but I was just sick of people ranting each other on this topic.
"Computer security." — Oxymoron

LOL...
And I was beginning to think I was becoming a bitter old man or something.
Or am I kid...
YOU DON'T KNOW! :-)
Thx for the freaking vote of support! Good to see someone else applauds intellectual integrity, work ethic, and common decency.
