Subject: Is this possible? Network Q.OS: XPCPU/Ram: 500 |
Comment: Hi I would like to know if there is any way of connecting multiple monitors, with a keyboard and mouse for each to one server and have them all run the same application. Is this possible and if so what are the hardware requirements? Thanks in advance

Reply: (edit)Physically hanging a bunch of monitors off a single server? No, not possible. Running an application on your server that multiple client computers can access? Definitely possible. Windows terminal services is what you want. Or you could use thin clients, but that might be a bit more complicated if you're not familiar with this kind of stuff.

Reply: (edit)There is a black box that does this - adds multiple workstations to one computer but I am not sure about them all running the same application and I have no personal experience with these... http://www.frontier-electronics.co.za/gra_magic_mirror.htm Peter
