I have 2 Linksys WRT54G routers, is there a way to daisy-chain them together and make one into the equivalent of a range extender? (connect them together wirelessly of course). The reason I am doing it is because one of my computers is on the other side of the house and can connect, but slowly, now I know a range extender or whatever would be best, however I already have another router, so I as just wondering if there is a way I can do it with what I have to save some money, thanks for any help.

In my house I have this scenario something similar to what you wanna do:
Router 1 and Router 2 connected by an Ethernet cable and same SSID different channels.

DHCP enable in Router 1 disable in Router 2
Router 1 has DSL modem connected.

The wireless transparently switches with the one with the strongest signal but you don't realize it because the SSID is the same for both of them. The only way to realize which router the wireless is connected is by a tool which would let you see the MAC Address of the router connected like in the case of my Intel WLAN MiniPCI with the Intel(R)PROset program.

I hope it can be of help.
