Solved Is there a place online where I can store embroidery machine

Specs: Windows Vista
I need to know if there is a place online where I can store my thousands of embroidery files that I have downloaded from the internet. Some I have purchased some were free. They are all copyright however so this needs to be a safe secure place. I need this so I can delete the designs from my computer to free up space. I was hoping to store them on Sky Drive which I can but when you delete on your computer it also deletes on Sky Drive as I'm sure you know. I would like a free spot of course but would be open to pay a small amount.Thank You.

I was unaware that skydrive did that. I get the feeling there is two parts to skydrive. One is the synced part of your files and the other is the shared portion.

See this for a sales pitch of skydrive features.

Pretty sure Amazon has a similar service. Also every web hosting place could be used. You don't need to learn how to make a web page only how to use either a web based uploading page or a program like filezilla.

To be secure you might need to pay for a hosting company. Some offer a small amount free but in this case I think you would want more of a failsafe feature. Some guarantee that the files would be backed up and secure. Even large companies might suffer in a regional issue like a hurricane or earthquake.

Hang up and live.

✔ Best Answer
Google Drive

The above all have Free Storage, but have limitations to the uploaded file size

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

Why not make a CD/DVD copy? Or get an external drive to store files. You need more than one place to store your backups.

Thank you so much to all who answered my question. I finally got an answer from Sky Drive on how to do it. You can download the app which allows you to upload bigger files 2G at a time. (without the app only 300MB.) If you keep the app you can access your files from any where, but if you change any of the files or delete any they also change or delete from Sky Drive but if you uninstall the app after you upload your files.then if you delete or change a file on your computer it does not effect the ones on Sky Drive. They just changed their free storage to 25 GB My Embroidery Files are going to take about 10GB That takes a long time on CD's. But I am in he process of doing it. Thanks again.
