Specs: Windows 7
my three comps cannot connect to the internet, they were fine last night now it says. cannot comunicate with primary sever, do you think it is my comp or sever.

Where is your server located?
Is it a local (inhouse) server?
What kind of server is it?
Can you ping the server?
Can you tracert

I think the OP left out one important bit of the error message. Cannot connect to primary dns server.

Turn everything off. Reboot the modem. Reboot the router. Reboot the client PCs

Here is a quick test. Your DNS server at your internet provider might be down, or they changed the DNS server and the update may not have been broadcast yet. I am guessing that your comps are getting their dns information from your home router, which gets its dns information automatically from your internet provider, so just change your dns servers on your comps.

Lets see.. Windows 7
Control Panel -> Network and Sharing -> Change Adapter Settings
Right click on your active network adapter and go to properties.
Double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Click radio button 'Use the following DNS server addresses:
Put these free Google Public DNS servers in.
Preferred DNS Server:
Alternate DNS Server:
Click 'OK'
Click 'OK' again.
See if you can go to a website.

You could also just ping a website by the number address. But this is more informative. Let us know how it goes.
