Is my LAN being hacked ?

Hello,

If i do a netstat /a

i get a lot of ports
for instance :

TCP XP-1:3006 xxxx.XXXXXXXX.xxx:pop3 CLOSE WAIT

where the x's is an address

Is my network being hacked ?

Nope. What's happening is that your PC is making remote connections via TCP/IP, sending a "Close connection" packet, and waiting for that remote server to close the connection. Some servers don't close the connection right away (if at all) so eventually a timer runs down and the connection closes locally.
