We can't say for sure. Normally if your ISP offers a package with a router then you could use a similar model most likely.

You may have to search for how to connect it like it should connect. Most providers will NOT tell you the easy setup. You may have to log into the modem and config it as a passthrough device and let the router make your connection.

You could leave the modem as a connection but it may be less stable or as easy to config or monitor.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

*sigh* shakes head.
What's a guy to do with gobble-d-goop?

If your broadband connection presently connects to your pc via a cat5 cable or has a rj45 interface, the router you mentioned will work just fine. In fact it got great reviews here.

Follow the manuals instructions and you will be just fine setting it up.

Then you talked to an idiot who didn't know what they were talking about.

Below is the linksys link to that routers docs. Look at Chapter 4: connecting the wireless g broadband router

Item #4 states and I quote:
"then connect the other end of the ethernet cable to your cable or DSL modem"

Check out the docs yourself.

I have satellite, cable and dsl. I use the same routers for all three.

Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?

I'm glad wanderer said that. So I didn't have to.

ahmed113 then you need a adsl modem [most dsl providers give you one] or a router with a builtin adsl modem.

Don't confuse a modem with a router.
