I am puzzle because my gateway computer has an IP address which i use to ping with my server and check that they are communicating or not.but when i post a message on computing.net it gives my that u r accessing through IP address which is entirely different.How it happens

That's what routers do (NAT). The ip address that is on your local network may be a private one like 192.168.0.1 but the address you see from posting is the address from your ISP to your dsl/cable modem.

What u mean by private IP address.Can private Ip address be permannet.Ur last sentence i have understood that IP address which i see is of Server.Is every IP address of computer permannet.

Private ip addresses like 192.168.0.1 and others cannot be used on the Internet. They are reserved for use on local networks.
