using ipconfig to show static ip address when cable is unplugged, can ipconfig show static ip address when cable is unplugged? if no why? and if yes how do you make it work? anything you can edit on registry to mke it work.

Yes, if you have a static IP address then ipconfig will show it whether the cable is connected or not. You could easily have found that out simply by trying it.

sounds like a homework question and we don't do your homework here.
you don't need a reg edit to set a static ip or have ipconfig work.
