Hello frnds,

Just a little clarification. Actually i am on LAN 10.a.b.c/2555.255.255.0 and when i try to ping a computer on 10.x.y.z/255.255.255.0, I am not able to PING ( this is right as these are two different LAN's). But how come the broadcast packages i.e 10.x.y.255 enters in my LAN which is 10.a.b.c? Most of there packets includes ARP or NBNS requests...

Any idea?

Thx,
Sachin

many reasons why icmp packets don't return. firewall at the pc or router level is configured not to allow a response.

Broadcast packages enter your subnet because that's they way they are routed. Has nothing to do with your computer settings.

WILL POST FOR FOOD.
