How can i know someone IP through an email ?? i already did it with hotmail i turn the page to advanced and somestuff, then it appear "X-Originating-IP: [81.169.147.22] " i think its the IP of the sender? and if its the ip, is it his real IP? and i want to trace it to know his location and can i sniff any ip out of my network?

There's no way to be sure that's the correct IP. If this person is running a private IP then it will be changed to a different IP outside the network.
Why do you want to do this? Has this person threatened you?
What kind of network are you running? Do you have your own mail server, and what exactly do you mean by sniff out an IP?
More information would be good.

i have cable connection and i have mail server and what i means to sniff an out ip is that when i got the email sender IP so i can sniff him and like to see what he is working in like u can sniff a network ip area but i want to sniff it out outbound
