I just changed out my Netgear g protocol router to a Belkin N1 Router. I'm not having any problems with my main computer but all of my other computers can not seem to acquire an IP address so I can not get any incoming traffic. Been doing research on this site and google but can't seem to get a definitive answer.
System is encrypted (128K) and I use the same SSID I used before. What exactly do I need to do to get my other 3 computers to connect to my wireless internet. I hope I provided enough information for a good diagnosis.
Thanks

When you set up the new wireless router security settings did you use identical SSID, Key type ( Open, Shared etc), Key Sequence number ( 1 to 4 ) as well as manually input the desired hex keys into the applicable key sequence boxes
In your DHCP settings have you enabled DHCP and set the range of IPs available?
In your wireless clients they must be set up with the corresponding key type ( I use Shared), Key Sequence number, and Hex key that matches that sequence number.Goin' Fishin' (Some day)

Thanks for the assistance. I'm pretty sure I did all those things but will doublecheck later tonight or tomorrow. What I think I will probably do is delete all security information from all 4 computers and reinput everything.
I'll probably also change from WPA instead of WEP.
Thanks

Checked everything and everything is okay. Took off security feature and still cannot get a connection. I did change the IP in my router to 192.168.5.1 and my laptop worked then but my main computer didn't. Had to restore everything to factory defaults. Been a two day odyssey. Thanks

Rehooked my netgear router, no problems. Placed my Belkin N1 back in and same problem exists. Local only. It's showing that it's broadcasting and all but still no connection from the wireless computers.
