Hello all

Can someone tell me if there is an easy Dos or windows command to tell me what my WAN side IP address is?
Is there somthing like tracert or ping that can do this, or is there another way to readily get this from windows?
Thanks

This is an easy way to check
http://www.whatismyip.com/

- ipconfig /all will show your pc's IP settings, so if your using a router or external modem it'll most likely give you a private IP address. This isn't the same as what your ISP supplies.

If you are using a router you can check you WAN IP address in the routers configuration screen.

If you have a modem plugged directly into the computer then then Ipconfig command will show you the direct address.

Ok Thanks I did Check the router and found It there, I also went to the web site that worked too

The ipconfig info about a direct connection as opposed to through the router is an interesting fact also

Thanks Guys
