OK, on my Motorola Surfboard Cable modem, I connected the USB cable to the main PC, and my network cable to the ethernet port of the modem(in a seperate room). I can get the net on the client PC but not on the host. Any ideas?

My understanding is that you can only use one of the two ports at a time not both at once, search around here on the borad, I think you might need a router or a switch to do what you want....

A router will do it. I like linksys or Dlink

LinuxOS2 is correct and I would suggest to use the CAT5 cable to connect to your computer and not the USB, it is much faster.
