The technical situation: The "problem PC": It's connected by means of Eth. adap1 on another (backup)PC. the PC's has fixed IP address (cross-cable connected). I would like to install also on this PC an Internet installing connection (necessarily to exactly send data VAT by means of.)
I thought of a separate extra network card. The installation hardware seems to be succeeded (Eth adap2). I have this one connected on a Linksys router.
I have configured this network connection default on DHCP etc...
Problem: after booting there is generally for a short while an Internet connection. It's possible to PING the default gateway. But the second URL doesn't function. And then sometimes PING's are no longer possible, sometimes, however, I can still PING ?!?
Very strange and unstably (ipconfig).
I have tried everything I can. But it does Does somebody have a ready-made solution for this problem? Or maybe a total other solution?

You have a Linksys Router. Plug both computers into that and they will both connect to the Internet independent of each other. No need for a cross-over cable between the two PCs.

You can enable Internet Connection Sharing on that PC with 2 network cards to share the Internet connection and access to local network as well.

Hope helps..

Why use a PC and software to act like a router when you have a device built for the job.
