I work for a business and we have a network set up for all of our computers. We also have a wireless network set up for the laptops as they roam around the building. However, we have two laptops that can't seem to utilize the network fully. We can use the internet on them just fine, but cannot get into the workgroup. This is very essential for us to be able to share files and whatnot. We've double checked the access key, and it's correct, but still when you click on the workgroup, it says we don't have access. Also, we cannot Map Network drives on the effected computers. I've been sitting here with two laptops, one that works and one that doesn't, and I can't seem to find what is different. Does anyone have an answer?
I would start by looking at the access permissions for the laptops and/or users of those laptops. Check the ACL's on the shares you're attempting to connect to.
