I have 2 XP PCs and an ADSL connection running into the main home computer. I have bought a wireless router and 2 wireless netwrk adapters. I have been told told that my router just needs to be plugged in to the mains and does not require any physical connection to the PC or ADSL modem for me to be able to access the internet on both comuters.
I have set up both adapters and the router, have followed the regular setup procedures and now have both computers on the network (according to the wireless network icon.
However, my second computer does not access the internet. Is this because the router is not physically connected to any computer or the modem, or is it that I need to configure differently?

Why are you taking what someone said vs following the routers setup documentation?
How do you think the router is going to communicate with the internet? It has to go thru the ADSL modem doesn't it to get to the internet? Is the ADSL modem wireless? Is your router capable of connecting wirelessly to the ADSL modem? If not than I would suspect you need a physical connection between the adsl modem and the router. This would be detailed in the routers manual.
