I have a ht-810tp 8 port hub, I got two computers and when I connect both of them to the hub...the port lights turn on indicating that their seeing each other, now I got a wifi internet connection, its like a little cable box but like an antenna..no cables needed. When I connect the wireless internet to the hub to the hub no lights turn on, no matter what port I use. I tried cross over or standard..nothing..I connect back directly to the pc....i got internet. I connect both pcs to the hub and they see each other. I tried pressing the uplink button nothing...what can I do?

You have two PCs connected and Wireless Access Point is being connected as if it were a third PC?

If so, then make sure you are using the wire attached to the WAP is the cable in connector versus a cable out connector.
Internet-->--Hub-->--WAP-->--PC (with a wireless adapter card attached to it)

If you are attempting another setup tehn do advise.

Actually Bryan or anybody else :), I'm doing another setup. This is what I have for internet:

http://www.pa.inter.net/corp/products/images/wisper.gif

Here's a website where you see the info about the service I have called Whisper:
http://www.pa.inter.net/corp/products/broadband.php (spanish though)

So it's like cable modem..the only thing instead of a cable going into the box...it's just an antenna. So it has this ethernet port where you connect to the computer. Like any other cable modem. So what I do is connet my Whisper (wireless internet box) to the HUB (first port), with cross over or even standard, the light does not turn on. My two other computers are connected with standard network cables to the hub on port 2 and 3...lights turn on. No internet.

So it's like this: Whisper (Wireless Internet box with ethernet port) ---> HUB ---> PC 1 and 2

I don't know what's going on. By the way, this is the HUB I have (but in black):

Hope this helps a lot.

I'm still not with you on the concept adn I don't know the Spanish language.

http://www.pa.inter.net/corp/products/broadband.php says:
Quote
MAX TO GO (Wisper) es todo el Internet de Banda Ancha (alta velocidad) en una cajita que se conecta a su computadora o LAN utilizando el cable Ethernet incluido. “conoce a Max to Go".
End of quote

AltaVista's BabelFish translates it as:
Quote
it is all the Internet of Broadband (high speed) in a small box that connects to its computer or LAN using the Ethernet cable including.
End of quote.

Is this a DSL modem or a router of some type?

Have you tried connecting the Whisper device directly to the incoming internet connection from the DSL or Cable modem?
Do you have a PC with a receiving antenna to use on it?

What is the intent of connecting this device to the Hub? To route the signal to a receiving PC?

I suspect this device is only a transceiver and does not contain a network interface card that can communicate.

Sorry about not explaining correctly Bryan, thing is that it's not DSL it's just wifi internet. Instead of connecting to their main servers through a fiber optic line, they just do it wireless...so I can take my internet where ever I want...as long as I have the whisper with me.

Now this whisper machine the way it connects to the pc would be through a network cable to the ethernet card of the computer.

What I want to do is connect the whisper to my HUB and connect my two computers (using my ethernet card) to my hub...so I got two computers and my whisper connected to my HUB. What I want to do is share my internet connection and share files between my two computers.

Problem? Computer one is connected to port 2, computer two is connected to port 3. Both port lights are on indicating that the HUB and the two computers are communicating. Now the Whisper(WIFI internet device) is connected to the HUB on port 1 and no matter what type of networking cable I use, the port 1 light does not turn on.

I've investigated, and apparently I get one IP only and to share internet connection I would have to buy another IP and get better speed...that's irrelevent, I can buy a router or use one of the pc as a proxy server and give internet through one of the computers (the one hosting).

Now what I want to know is, if that HUB of mine supports this wifi device or not. :)

Okay looks like I fixed the problem, I changed the cross over cable...the whisper device needed a cross over cable and the hub light turned on, both pcs have internet with out needing to put a proxy server. Now the problem is file sharing, now both pcs dont share files.
