Internet sharing problem (Xp Pro)

i try to share the internet and i get this error massege:


Cannot enable shared access
Error 2: The system cannot find the file specfield

i can share files!

A bit more info needed.

What type of internet connection. How is it connected to your machine.
Which OS does the other machine have.
How are the computers networked together.
What steps do you take before the error message comes up.
How did you get on using the network wizard.

other machine has XP Pro too.
i just check the box that tell:
Sharing internet connection, and when i press Apply its tell the message

Here is a possible solution...

On a newly built Windows XP system with no printers configured, the
registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Device

...does not exist. This causes /etc/profile to emit this message
every time it runs:

Error (2): The system cannot find the file specified.

One possible fix is appended.
