Specs: Windows XP
Ok, I'm currently using my laptop using lynksys wireless router I have the cable modem and router hooked up. But, I just got a used desktop that has been completely wiped off as if it was new. So what I want is to be able to use the internet on the desktop and laptop.

You need to either:

a) purchase a wireless NIC for the PC so you can connect wirelessly

b) connect it to the router's LAN port (or one of them if it has 4) with a patch cable

Yep.. Get a wireless adapter for desktop and configure wireless adapter to connect to wireless network.

If not, get an Ethernet network adapter, connect it to router's LAN port and configure network adapter to join wired Ethernet network.

Hope the articles help...
