I have a computer question to talk about I have two computers running on my home. I own a 5-port hub. One computer is running Windows ME, the other is running Redhat 7.2. They are all connected on my hub.
I have Rogers Hi-speed internet on my Windows computer. The problem is that I need to find an easy and safe way to configure my Linux box without losing my Windows connection.
People have replied to me in other newsgroups saying that I have to let my Linux or my Windows machine as a gateway, but it risks losing my Windows internet connection.
Also, people have replied to me to get a router, but I can't afford to get one. I've tried reading all the manuals, but it's all complicated.
Even I've tried to install the ICS (internet connection sharing feature) on Windows, this will definitely lose my Windows internet connection.
This is my big issue for almost 2.5 months now. What's your suggestion? Do I need special software for it? Can you show me the links for the special software? If anyone can help, please let me know ASAP. Thank you.

I will get back to you on this, I have the answer to your qustion.
1.) Connect you Linux box to your DSL provider
2.) turn on routing (using iptables)
3.) firewall it with iptables

Configure your linux to connect to the internet and set it up as your NAT with proxy installed then connect your WinME to your linux machine. that should do it.
