Hello, i have a problem. My internet keeps disconnecting every now and then when i start up a game. It doesnt happen all the time. But on GTAIV it does happen after like 10 minutes of playing every single time. Not even playing online. I get disconnected entirely. I have to turn off my system.. switch off power.. and then start it up again for it to work. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance

Several things can cause this. 1. If it is DSL or Dial-up, the telephone company switching box (where most of the phone lines in your neighborhood come through) may have corroded terminals caused by temperature/humidity changes outside the box. Call your local phone company to come & clean the terminals. 2. The phone or cable connections in your house have become corroded, especially cable female-to-female solid connectors used as wall penetrators. 3. Interference from VoIP phone adapters. 4. Old modems - replace from your service provider. 5. If using wireless router with 2.4 GHz, interference from cell phones which also use 2.4 GHZ. 6. Too many clients being serviced by the cable company on their basic cable line. 7. Crimped or worn Cat 5/6 cables andor/ their terminals. Replace the cables.

I have a 50mbit speedtest connection broadband wired. And my brothers laptop doesnt notice a thing. It started happening a few months back when i installed GTAIV. I then uninstalled it and did a system restore. Nothing changed. Its been like this since then. And now it is becoming that annoying that i wanted to make a post about it.
