Hello There ,
A problem has occurred to me when i used the add/remove program and i deleted Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable that got installed with a game .. so i didnt want to play the game anymore and i deleted this software as well .. and now my internet works for 2-5 minutes and then gets disconnected until i reconnect again or " it works but the website is full of dead/broken links" so whats going on in here .
1- i repaired windows by using the Cd windows .
2- I tried to reinstall IE7 , Although Firefox stops working as well that means its not the problem.
3- I Reinstalled the Visual c++
4- i reinstalled my linksys speedstream.
5- i used the Diagnose connection problem service that asks me to use winsock provider
and yet it does the same thing it reconnects me that makes the thing work but still after couple on minutes it will crash.
So what can i do now ?Note: it shows me that im connected but when i click on a browser .it tells me im disconnected or if I refresh the page over and over it works but with broken and deal links like it doesnt show the GIFs , JPG , Videos of the website.
TotallyMuse.

Hello mountain ,
Thank you for your help & reply.
I already mentioned that i used this software and the idea of it(restarting my pc) was the same as i reconnect and it disconnects again after few minutes. I dont think that i can call the internet service in my country because the problem is from my computer not from the connection they are providing .Anyways i hope i wont format my pc because i installed Vista before and i really got shocked because nothing i have was compatable with vista so i installed Xp again and im not in the mood to format the pc because i already reinstalled Xp. thank you again

Are you connected through a router?
you may be connected to the router as part of a lan but it may not have permission set to let you on the internet
Check your lan filter setting and dhcp lease time settingsis it a wireless connection?
you may want to change your channel settingI would try reseting the router settings before i would reformat my harddrive
