hi erm bit of a newbie when it comes to computers but recently my internet has become really slow to load pages, ive run scans with norton but only says i have cookies ave tried useing spybot but for some reason since i updated it it doesnt scan, anyone got any ideas i could post a hijackthis log? thank u

I highly recommend you uninstall, then reinstall Spybot and then update and run it. This sounds like spyware bogging your system down to me and until you can run a cleaner on your system, you'll have no way of knowing if that is the issue.
