yes, you can buy and install an ethernet card, and its best to get a router along with the card. easier to setup the network, and later you can add other computers/laptops

If you don't want to open up the box you could also get a usb to ethernet.
There would be other things too that may be needed to have service.

Yap..just get a normal Ethernet adapter or the usb adapter, then install the driver and configure it. You should be able to connect to Internet with the help of router.
